Living on the rough volcanic shoreline of Pico island, in the Azores, we always keep an eye on the atlantic, waiting for a shadow of an elusive giant of the sea. At this location, waters are deep and very productive. All year round, a rich diversity of sealife are visiting seamounts and deep canyons who lies low around the archipelago.
We are living where the gulf stream current and deep sea waters meet the younger island of the archipelago. This creates a fabulous explosion of marine life.
Everyday we are the daylife's witnesses of wild creatures in the heart of the North Atlantic Ocean.
